NICOLE LYNE FIELDS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

HONORING HER LEGACY

Nicole Lyne Fields was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 30, 1980, and grew up in the rural area of Falcon in eastern Colorado. She attended Falcon schools and graduated from Falcon High School in 1998.

Nicole was very active in her school and community. She was a member of student government, National Honor Society, FHS Cheer & Dance squads, the El Paso County 4-H program, and the Pikes Peak Rangerettes.

Nicole had a deep love for children and was pursuing a degree in education at the University of Northern Colorado where she was also a member of the UNC Cheer team.

Nicole’s beauty and blazing smile were surpassed only by her strength of character and charismatic personality. She had a passion for rodeo, the western way of life, and particularly the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Nicole was chosen as the 1999 Aide to Girl of the West and served as the 2000 Girl of the West for the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. Nicole lost her life in a car accident on January 12, 2001, at the young age of twenty.
